3 Top Facts About NZ

Over the school holidays we will be doing the Summer Learning Journey. We did a practice so we knew what we would be doing over the holidays. Our first activity was to pick our favourite fun facts about NZ out of 20. Here is the fun facts on a Google Drawing.

  1. Hi Amelia, Hannah here. I like your post about New Zealand. I also like the three facts. One of that facts you put on was the same as the one I put on. I think that next time you might like to have a few more pictures. From Hannah.

  3. Hello Amelia,

I'm Evelyn and I will be working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you have fun on this journey!

Those are some interesting facts about New Zealand, I love the pictures and colours you have chosen to represent your facts, well done Amelia! I have lived here my whole life and had no idea about these facts so thank you for telling me more about New Zealand! Remember to make sure you put the information into your own words for next time. You are absolutely correct, the largest city is Auckland and it's where I live! Auckland is very different to the other cities of New Zealand. There are less farm land and more shopping malls. Have you ever been to Auckland? We have the Sky Tower here, it's the tallest freestanding tower in the Southern Hemisphere so it's really high! Are you scared of heights? Do you think you would like to go up the Sky Tower? I've been up twice and the view is great! You can also bungy jump off the side of the tower but I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to do that. Would you ever bungy jump?

    Happy blogging,
    Evelyn :D

  4. Kia ora Amelia,

It's great to see you using images to illustrate your blog posts. Every time that we use an image on our blog, it's really important that we tell our readers where we found it, and give credit to the owner of the picture. To properly credit a picture you will need to include a link to the site where you found the image. We have created a guide that you might find helpful. You can check it out here:

You will need to follow these instructions to earn full points for any Summer Learning Journey activity that has asked you to post an image.

    Keep up the good work,
    Evelyn :)
