  1. Kia Ora Amelia,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.

I think your vector art looks awesome, it is hard to make people look good using polyline and I think it is funny that you apologised for making her look bad. Personally I think it looks good considering how hard it is drawing on that app! Who is Gemma Sissia?

Your ornament looks awesome as well, you can never go wrong with a picture of a cute puppy! Do you have any pets?

Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

    1. Hi Zana! Thanks :) Gemma Sisia is a wonderful Lady who set up a school in Tasmania called St Jude's. She wrote a book about establishing the school which I have read. ( I think its supposed to be for adults but I read it anyway!) And she was the first person I thought of to make/draw. I have two dogs, a older dog Meg who is a chocolate lab spaniel cross, and Megs pup Muddle who is also a chocolate lab spaniel cross, they are both adorable and very cute! Do you have any pets?. Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, and helpful comment. From Amelia

    2. Hi Amelia,
She sounds like an amazing person I may have to check out her book.

I do have a new puppy named Korra she is a greyhound mix and she turns 10 weeks old on Christmas Eve!!

  2. Kia ora Amelia, Matua Jacob here! Great first go at some Vector art! Even if you think it looks funny, I say you have done a great job considering you picked a very detailed face to do! The more details on our subject the harder it can be, so I reckon you have done really well. My two tips for you to improve would be
    1. Remove the black outlines on the polyline shape (change the colour to transparent)

This makes the colours blend better and helps with adding in subtle details without distracting. You could use this to put some whites behind the eyes of Gemma, this would help her eyes look more normal.

    2. Use the zoom in tool in google draw, not the screen zoom we normally use by pinching our two fingers together.

Finally I just have to say you have done really well with the amount of detail in your picture, around the eyes and the hair is just fantastic!

    Keep up the great work!
