One of the activities for the Summer Learning Journey was to learn about pixels and then make our own pixel art. the most interesting things I learnt about pixels are: Pixels all have just three colours in them red blue and green but only two of the colours light up to make a colour. I also learnt that there are pixels in the human eye! I made a picture of a Mati tree in some grass with the sky and the sun behind it. Here is my work.
Kia Ora, Amelia,
ReplyDeleteThis post is so creative and colourful. I loved how you used a variety of colours to demonstrate your picture of the Mati Tree. How does this remind you of summer? I just finished my post of this today and it was really fun and challenging. What things do you like about this activity?
It's great how you learnt heaps of things about pixels while completing this task. Before looking at all the websites and videos I actually didn't know what pixels were but after reading and watching I have a growing interest in them. Hopefully we will learn about cool tech things like this in the 2021 Room 6!
Hope you are having a fun holidays!
Yours truly,
Sophie
Kia Ora Amelia,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
I really like video games so I found this activity very interesting as pixel art is a big part of video games.
This is an awesome post, you shared some great facts about pixels and your artwork looks amazing. I love all the detail you put into your Mati tree and the background with the multicoloured sun, grass and sky.
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

Kia ora Amelia,
ReplyDeleteCharlotte here from the SLJ team.
Wow! You have created such a clever piece of pixel art!
I really like that you used different coloured pixels to create all of the parts of your picture. It looks great!
Thank you for sharing what you learnt. I actually didn't know that people have pixels in their eyes! Thank you for teaching me something new!
Have you made pixel art before?
Keep up the great work!
Charlotte
Hi Amelia,
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I did not know anything about pixels. You have made me want to go away and do this activity myself. Thank you so much for sharing this and for taking the time to do some of the SLJ.
See you soon.
Regards,
Mrs B.
