For the Summer Learning Journey we had to make or draw a picture out of fruit we also had to have three facts about Arcimboldo an artist who made paintings of people made up of fruit and veg and lots of other things. Here is mine.

  1. Kia ora Amelia,

Charlotte here from the SLJ team!

Wow, your two pieces of art are so creative! Ka pai!

It is so great that you were able to create two faces - one with pencil and one with real fruit. Which did you enjoy making more?

I also really enjoyed reading your three facts about Arcimboldo. If you had to write three facts about yourself, what would you share?

    Mine would be:
    My favourite colour is pink.
I have a goldfish named Fred.
    I love reading!

    Keep up the great work!

  2. Morning Amelia,

This is so cool! I love this idea and think this is something we could do in class some time. I might even try this with my two kids this afternoon.

If I had to share 3 facts about myself they would be:

    I have a mum and a teacher.
    I am a published author.
I have a dog named Buddy and a cat named Charlie.

Thanks you for sharing, I loved seeing you work.

    Regards,

    Mrs B.

  4. Hi Amelia,

This post is so fascinating! I like how you managed to do extra and do both a pencil drawing and a real fruit dog! I have never heard of the artist Arcimboldo but I did some research and his drawings actually look a bit scary! But his work definitely reminds me of Alice Through The Looking Glass. Have you seen that movie? Are you inspired by this artist?

I like how you used both fruit and vege. Was it hard to get all of your supplies or was it just stored in the back of the cupboard? It was great how you added descriptions of what fruit is making up the face and the dog. Where did you get the dog idea from? Its amazing how your imagination can get you into the history books!

This is a very highly produced post and I believe you should be proud of your work on the Summer Learning Journey!

    Happy Blogging,
    Sophie
